Threadbare

Threadbare is an installation of 'video weavings', that is video which is edited to look like weaving. Time-lapse sequences were cut into strips, the speed and scale of each strip is altered, then they are placed or layered over each other to leave space between them. For this installation I used time-lapse sequences that documented my moving house: sequences from 2003 when I lived in Sydney and moved from my sisters place to a flat in Redfern and then to a house in Faulkenbridge in the Blue Mountains, another video was of moving house in Canberra from Dickson to AIinslie in 2013, and the last sequence was taken a month before the exhibition when I moved from Ainslie to Watson.
